WEF Tampa 2007

I was really happy with how the Tampa shows ended up. The mornings started around 6:00 am and ended as late as 7:30 pm. El Raymond, I Toon and Marga were amazing! I have so much appreciation for these wonderful horses! I catch rode some really cool hunters and a low junior jumper and, the experience was truly rewarding. Looking back on WEF 2007, I was very lucky to have supportive family, trainers, and friends.

Watching the Invitational was so much fun and has always been a special highlight of the circiuit. My friend, Brianne Goutal, was one of the thirty qualified riders, and it was so exciting to watch her out there amongst the top riders in our sport.

For now, the riders, horses and trainers from Beacon Hill will take a needed rest from the show ring.

Some of the up and coming shows that I will be reporting about will include Four Seasons, Hunter Farms, Garden State, and Devon.

Thank you for all of your comments!
I will talk to you soon and respond to one of your questions.

Great job with the year's show season and all! Just curious, what rider brands/products are you and your friends into (besides GPA helmets haha). Like what are your favorite brand of tall boots and where do you get them from?
Thanks, Caroline

yes, that would be interesting to know. i think eskadron boots are often used. and baker sheets/blankets.(they all seem to be plaid)maybe bates saddles. everyone seems to have pelhams.i saw some people at regionals and they all had charles owens.(the ones with the big stripe)they could be becoming more popular than the GPAs. how big are the horses which are ridden at shows like the maclay? All like 17 hands? And are there ever any TBs? or are they all warmbloods? what qualities do you look for in an eq. horse? size, temperament, jumping ability, movement, age, experience?
thanks for updating so ofte, i love reading your blogs.
well done for your last show!

what do you think a good horse-rider size match is? a 5'2 person on a pony, a 5'6 person on a 16hh and a 5'10 person on 17hh??

to the person asking maria to update, you need to be patient! we're lucky maria has even set aside time to do this amazing blog and you shouldn't be asking her to her update now when this is proabably one of the least most important things on her busy schedule! that was kinda rude in my opinion.

hey, i don't know if you remember me, but i was the girl from the Tampa horse show in 06-07? Your quote was:"I hope you enjoyed the horse show! Best of luck with your new pony and all of your future riding!" That might bring back memories! Anyway, thank-you for everything, and please respond! By the way, Are you going to the horse show in Chicago in August? I forgot the name but if so, i'll see you there!
